TermDefinition
Accept Job OfferA feature in Bullhorn Workforce Management used by a Worker to acknowledge and accept a Shift that has been advertised to the worker. This method uses Fastest Fingers First.
Accept ShiftA feature in Bullhorn Workforce Management and MySirenum used by a Worker to either; acknowledge acceptance of a shift assigned directly to them, assign themselves to a Shift that has been made available via Open Shift (Fastest Finger First) or to acknowledge interest in shift that has not yet been assigned via Open Shift (Manager Approval).
AccountSalesforce terminology, but used by Sirenum as a record which holds details of an Organisation.
Active StaffWorkers who have been deemed available for work based on Compliance requirements or other company considerations.
AdministratorA User who has permissions to modify or update processes or functions within your Sirenum environment, as well as coach other users on how best to use Sirenum.
Apply Job OfferA feature in Bullhorn Workforce Management and MySirenum used by a Worker to acknowledge and apply for a Shift that has been advertised to the Worker. This method uses Manager Approval when using Open Shift. The Consultant will be approve or reject the Worker.
AWRThe terminology used in the UK for Agency Worker Regulations. Further information can be found using the following link:

BriefingA communication that is sent to workers which requires a signature.
Bullhorn Connect for SalesforceA mobile application used by your workforce to input their availability and manage and report on their shifts.

TermDefinition
ClientAn individuals working for a Client such as a Hiring Manager, Account Manager, Shift Supervisor or Site Manager.
Client Contact Record TypeA record type which holds details about the client.
CompetencyAn attribute, knowledge, or recognised qualification, training or a skill.
Consultant – Recruitment ConsultantRecruiter, Consultant, Resource provider working for the organisation. These are the Bullhorn Workforce Management Users who resource, schedule, and monitor the recruitment process.
Contact Record TypeA record which holds details about a Worker.

TermDefinition
DashboardSalesforce functionality which is used to visually display reports by turning them into charts, gauges, or counters. More information can be found using the following link

Decline Job OfferA feature in Bullhorn Connect for Salesforce and MySirenum where the Worker declines a Shift that has been advertised to the Worker.
DecorationGraphical representation of information. These are used to summarise information visually to enable consultants to see what is happening quickly without having to read large amounts of text or run reports. They are particularly useful to summarise the Shift and Worker information in Schedules.

Employee RequestRequest raised by the worker which needs approval e.g. Doctors appointment, holiday, etc.
Employee SkillSkills which a worker posses
Entry / EnteriesOn the Schedule Tab within Bullhorn Connect for Salesforce, an Entry represents either a Shifts, Job Offers or Event.
Existing InvitationsWhen using open shift to send out invitations for Job Offers. The existing invitations are the workers you have already invited.
ExpenseA cost incurred to be paid to the worker

Fatigue IndexFatigue is calculated and displayed on the shift for a worker. For more details about the Fatigue Index please find a link below:

GeolocationThe identification of real-world geographical location. Used by Sirenum to update the Sirenum Maps.

Health & Safety RuleUsed to enforce rules used by the Schedule to help ensure workers do not exceed specific working hours e.g. 48 Workings Time regulation.

InvitationSending an invitation to your worker e.g. Job Offer, Briefing, Events, etc.

Job OfferThe worker has been invited to a Shift.
Job OrderThis allows you to create multi-day shift demands according to a pattern.
Job RoleA data record that holds specific details of the job a worker will perform while at the Client’s site.
Job TypeA data record that holds details of a category of work in which certain requirements or prerequisites are shared by multiple similar job roles.
Job Role ViewView the Scheduler based on Job roles.

Licence (Salesforce)This is a metadata description of the Salesforce features and services that are available to your Org. License definitions describe functionality to your Org as a whole and for individual users in your Org.
List ViewSee View.
LoanAgencies may pay for equipment on behalf of the worker and claim this back through wages.
LocationPart of the Site hierarchy. The location within the site you want the worker to report to e.g. Security Office in the Bullring building.

TermDefinition
Manager ApprovalRequires managers (consultants) to approve accepted shift invitations thus allowing them to decide which candidates to assign to the shift(s). If not set, then first workers to accept shift invitations are automatically assigned (referred to as Fastest Fingers First).
MapDisplaying all the sites and upcoming shifts.
MySirenum Manager ModeProviding additional features in MySirenum for managers.
MySirenumA mobile application used by your workforce to input their availability and manage and report on their shifts.

NotesA section on the Shift mini form to add any comments the workforce needs to be made aware of.

TermDefinition
ObjectThe container of specific data e.g. Site, Contact, Location are all objects.
OnboardingThe process of capturing Account and Worker details and inputting into Bullhorn Workforce Management
Open ShiftAllows you to invite a group of workers to work on a specific shift (see Manager Approval).
OrganisationRecruitment Organisation, Recruiting Company, Agency, Workforce Provider.

Organisation is also used to represent tasks that are performed or decisions that are made at an organisational level (by specific users with permissions to do so) as opposed to being performed by Consultants or Standard Users.

TermDefinition
Panel Lock/Padlock Allows you to lock in panels to the Scheduler.
Payroll CycleThis is the term to describe the grouping of payroll periods, e.g. Weekly starting on Saturdays. In implementations where more than one cycle exist, each payroll period needs to have a mandatory cycle.
Permission SetsA collection of settings and permissions that give Users access to various tools and functions.
Premade SetFilters which have been predefined by either admin or users.
ProfileThe settings for your Salesforce user account. What do you have permission to view and what can the user do?
Publish AllThis will publish all unpublished shifts on the Scheduler and send notifications to workers.
Publish ShiftThe consultant has made all changes/updated required and therefore wishes to notify the worker. Once published the Worker is notified via MySirenum, Bullhorn Connect for Salesforce or Email.

TermDefinition
Qualification (also known as Ticket)When a Competency is allocated to a Candidate, a data record type called a Qualification is created. A Ticket holds information about the allocated Competency including validity and any documents as proof e.g. Driving Licence, certificate, etc.

TermDefinition
Rate CardA data record that holds specific details of how much a Candidate will be paid and how much a Client will be charged (Rates), as well as when and for how long these rates are applicable.
Reassign ShiftIf a shift can not longer be filled or a worker is unable to work that shift, you can reassign to another worker.
RecordA digital version of a file, all the details about an item is stored in a record.
Reject ShiftA worker may reject the shift you have sent to them.
ReportAs you capture a lot of data you can extract this information using reports.
Report TypeWhen selecting a report type, you’re picking the records and fields you’ll be able to see in your report.
Report FormatA report can use the tabular, summary, matrix, or joined format. Choose a format that’s complex enough to capture the data you want to show, but simple enough to communicate it effectively.
Revoked Ticket/QualificationReferring to the status of a qualification/ticket. Rather than deleting the qualification/ticket this will cause the qualification/ticket to become invalid.
Risk IndexThe relative risk of a safety related incident occurring on a shift compared to a 2-day/2-night/4-off rota of 12 hour shifts.
RotaThe work pattern e.g. Days, Nights, Weekends.

S

TermDefinition
ScannerDevice which utilises Near Field Communication (NFC) to scan Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags. This can be hand-held on a mobile device or boxed in a secure location.
SchedulerThe calendar that shows you shifts/vacancies. This is where you can view your workforce and assign shifts. You can also managed filled and unfilled shifts.
SchedulingThe process of taking Client demands and inputting the details into Bullhorn Workforce Management. Once demands have been created assigning demands to Workers.

The process also includes the management of Worker request such as paid/unpaid leave.
SearchOn the Scheduler you are able to search for a specific worker. Search in Salesforce can be used to search for records or items.
ShiftThe requirement from the client.
Shift DemandWhen multiple workers are required for one shift.
Shift StatusAs Shifts mature they go through different status:
No Show – The Scheduled Start Time has passed and the worker or consultant has not started their Shift.
Scheduled – The Shift has been created and assigned, causing the Shift to be Scheduled.
At Risk – It is getting close to the Scheduled Start Time and the worker has not provided the Actual Start Time for the Shift.
Late – The worker or consultant has provided the Shift but the Actual Start Time is past the Scheduled Start Time.
Ongoing – The worker or consultant has provided the Actual Start Time before the Schedule Start Time.
Finished – The worker or consultant has provided the Actual Start and End Times for the Shift. Bullhorn Workforce Management considers this Shift as finished.
Stale – The worker or consultant has not provided either the Actual Start and End Times for the Shift, and 24 hours has passed.
Sirenum MapsThe map allows you to see a “shifts health” on a map.
Sirenum ContractThe contract between your agency and your client. This contains the main contact within the client’s organisation, Job Type and colour coding. The Sirenum Contract can also contain the payroll cycle and invoice template.
SiteA data record of where a Client conducts business and the place where Candidates will complete work for the Client. An Account record can/may have many Sites.
Site ViewA view on the Scheduler which allows you to see shifts per site.

TermDefinition
Ticket (recently changed to Qualification)When a Competency is allocated to a Candidate, a data record type called a Ticket is created. A Ticket holds information about the allocated Competency including validity and any documents as proof e.g. Driving Licence, certificate, etc.
TileRepresents an Entry within Bullhorn Connect for Salesforce.
Today’s Actions
TouchThe process of a worker registering the start of end of a Shift or Break. May also be used to register a worker being at a specific location.

Unapproved Employee RequestA worker has made a request for time off using MySirenum. As the Coordinator we need to approve or reject the request.
UserAn individual who has a Salesforce Licence and Profile.

TermDefinition
ViewJob Role View – View the Schedule by Job Role.
Staff View – View the Schedule by Workers.
Site View – View the Schedule by Site.
List View – A tool used to see multiple records of a single type e.g. Account Records, in a single tabular format.

TermDefinition
Work RelationshipThe preferred agency, client or department the Bullhorn Connect for Salesforce User is associated to.
WorkerAn individual(s) to whom Shifts can be or have been assigned. They are also Contacts in Bullhorn Workforce Management and may also be users of MySirenum or Bullhorn Connect for Salesforce mobile apps.
Worker AvailabilityUsing the Mobile App, the worker can set their availability which will be visible on the Schedule.

This can also be set by Consultants.
